Community Bladder & Bowel Service

What is it?

The Community Bladder and Bowel Service helps adults over 16 years of age who have continence problems and whose GP is either in Lambeth or Southwark. People can attend clinics in Lambeth and Southwark, where specialist nurses assess, advise and treat them, including prescribing continence problems. People who are housebound can be helped by their district community nurse.  

Conditions that can be seen by the service:

Patients suffering from continence problems.

How to refer:

Patients need an appointment before attending a clinic. Patients can be referred by their GP or can self-refer.

GPs can refer patients by completing the referral form and sending it to:

Patients can self-refer by calling 020 3049 4020 between 9am and 5pm (Monday to Friday)

If housebound, patients can be assessed by their district community nurse.
